14th Ave Bridge - Mount Vernon - ~$12,000,000 contract - Metro North Railroad

This design-build project called for the thorough demolition and subsequent reconstruction of a bridge structure spanning the highly active MNR New Haven Line rail corridor in the City of Mount Vernon. The scope of work encompassed the relocation of MNR power/signal cables adjacent to the active tracks, modifications to bridge abutments, installation of a new bridge superstructure, and the implementation of drilled mini-caissons and abutment tiebacks.

Additionally, this project included the construction of parapet walls featuring ornamental fencing and a complete reconstruction of the roadway at both the north and south side approaches. The scope extended to the installation of new street utilities, incorporating a 12-inch gas main, a 6-conduit electric duct bank, and modifications to stormwater systems. The multifaceted nature of this project highlights our capacity to address various aspects of infrastructure development in a cohesive and integrated manner.
